B.C.C.
When dealing with a country club you begin with a team of over 300 members.  Add social members, executive staff, Rewold & Sons (builders) and Studio B Architects to create a huge dynamic to guide.  Six projects over a twelve-year span have tested the team and proven that excellent value, responsive plans and great design can result even from a huge consensus.

Dreams To Reality

Prestige, finesse and impeccable function are hallmarks of the country club experience. Studio B renovated both the Men's and Women's Locker Rooms at the Birmingham Country Club to provide members with a truly unique interior environment.

The Men's Locker Room was organized around a central circular "salon" area serving as a visual and functional focus for the space. The toilet and shower areas were made barrier free and reorganized to eliminate their visual obtrusion into the handsome timber-trussed gable space. The wonderful volume and unique character inherent in the original structure was further enhanced with paneled hardwood lockers. High quality finishes and fixtures added to the upscale atmosphere desired by members and required to be competitive with other clubs in the community. The Women's Locker Room included similar improvements.

Colombiere
When this seminary converted to a convalescent and nursing home for ailing priests, the classic sanctuary needed new flexibility without changing its character.  We gave them complete barrier free access, for both patrons and celebrants, and modified seating to give a sense of intimacy to small daily masses while still accommodating over 150 on Sunday and Holy Day functions.  We also upgraded electronics and brought the plan into conformance of Vatican II design guidelines.

Jefferson Beach
Built in the 30’s, still living in the 60’s, the Owner dreamed of a major transformation of this pristine private marina. Our award-winning concepts gave birth to that dream.
