Alejandro Flores Monge

For Alejandro, good design isn’t a luxury, but an essential part of a healthy and balanced life. Alejandro is an artist, international arts administrator, dancer, and the administrative manager for our interiors department. With a diverse management and administrative portfolio in performing arts, international museum development, and fine arts, Alejandro brought with him a unique skillset for supporting the logistical, administrative, and design needs of our Interiors team.

At the heart of his life’s ethos lies a profound love of travel and culinary culture. Growing up in rural, Western Colorado, he would go on to live and study as far away as central India, and as close as northern New Mexico. After graduating from United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico, Alejandro lived in Pune, India for a year as a teaching associate in the municipal public school system. While studying for a BA in Art at Williams College, he performed with various dance ensembles, including Ritmo Latino, Kusika, and CoDa, as well as with Daniel Roberts and the Department of Dance at Ohio State University. One summer brought him the opportunity to study Italian cooking techniques under Chef Sergio Maria Teutonico in Asti. Many of these techniques are still a part of his home-cook habits, today. His photography, videography, textile, and performance art has been showcased both in student exhibitions and sight-specific installations at Williams College, MassMOCA, and throughout Western Massachusetts thanks to the Mass Cultural Council.

His administrative career began when he was an Artistic Director for the Williams College student ensemble, Ritmo Latino, and grow into managing complex curatorial, production, and architectural design projects with the ‘62 Center for Theatre & Dance at Williams College, The Williams College Museum of Art, The Clark, MassMoCA, GCAM Group, Bjarke Ingels Group, and Gehry Partners.
