Bachelor of Architecture

Bachelor of Interior Architecture

Ashley is a transplant from Alabama, where she earned dual degrees with highest honors in Architecture and Interior Architecture from Auburn University. Her concurrent study of both disciplines has driven her passion for design at all scales. From concepts through construction, she is interested in an integrated design approach, unifying interiors, architecture and landscape into a single work of design.

Ashley joined the Studio B team in June of 2015 after three years immersed in rural West Alabama at Auburn’s Rural Studio. There she had the privilege of designing and building a public library for the town of Newbern, adapting a century-old bank building into an iconic social center. Her time at the Rural Studio was a highly collaborative, hands-on experience, resulting in an accelerated knowledge of building assembly and an appreciation of craft. Even more, it showed her the importance of commitment to community and place and the role that architecture can play as a social practice.

As an artist, Ashley enjoys refining her craft through drawing and making and brings her passion for quality and composition into each project. She is an artist of diverse media, including drawing, painting, woodworking, calligraphy and cooking. Inspired by the outdoors, she spends her free time exploring landscapes through running, hiking and skiing.
