Bachelor of Environmental Design
University of Colorado Boulder
Kyle was born and raised in the suburbs of Thornton, Colorado, where his family had lived most of their lives. From a young age he possessed an attraction to art and design, taking form mostly in graphite and charcoal drawings.
Prior to attending the University of Colorado, Kyle worked as a graphic designer in Commerce City dealing with large format print and signage. He kept this job throughout much of high school and early on in college. He enrolled in school initially as an engineering student but quickly realized his passion for design.
He transferred to the program for Environmental Design where he quickly fell into his own. He used his graphic design background to manage the social media for the local AIAS chapter before becoming chapter vice president. He was a tutor for graphics and computer software as well as a teaching assistant for lower level design studios. He went on to spend a semester studying architecture in Copenhagen, where he was heavily influenced by Danish design philosophies and aesthetics.
Upon returning from his studies abroad, his instructor recommended him to the Studio B team where he would soon begin his first architectural internship. Kyle has been with Studio B since August of 2018.
