Rebekka grew up in Denmark surrounded by a deeply rooted design tradition. There, her love for architecture began at a small scale where she was enamored with the perfection that blooms in the intersection between aesthetics, science and craftsmanship.
Rebekka received her Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Copenhagen, the last year of which, she spent studying at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Studying in different places gave her the opportunity to explore the architectural design that arises from the nuances of the surrounding context. It is important to her that architecture is imbued with a strong connection to place.
In the fall of 2019, Rebekka graduated with a Master of Architecture degree form the University of Colorado. She strives to approach each project with an open mind and to build on the traditions of Scandinavian design - of timeless aesthetics and natural materials; in pursuit of a perfect balance between richness and restraint. She is excited to be in an environment where every project is approached with curiosity and dialogue and where strong emphasis is placed on tying the firm’s many disciplines into one cohesive approach.
Rebekka loves to travel and experience the traditions and slow routines of other cultures. She is also a mother of two and finds inspiration in the awe and wonder through which children discover the world around them - their innate ability to elevate what might otherwise be perceived as mundane.
